Maarja Kruusmaa is one of Europe’s leaders in novel multi-sensor monitoring of ecosystems by novel robots. Her research interests are robotics, biorobotics, artificial muscles, electroactive polymers, underwater robotics, robot learning, flow sensing and experimental fluid dynamics. Maarja received her Ph.D. degree from Chalmers Univeristy of Technology, Gothenburg, Sweden and is now Professor at Tallinn University of Technology, Estland.
